Who We Are

The Concerned Parents and Educators Initiatives(CPE) stands for education reformation and parental education. Although founded on the 24th of June 2015, the initiative got off the ground as an online group in 2016. With a Strong desire to raise and inspire development in education at all levels for National Development CPE became a NGO two years later fulfilling 6 goals of the United Nations Sustainable development Goals (1,2,4,5,10,16) making it a formidable NGO with over 260,000 active online members as well as over 20 chapters in various states across the Nation.

The Prime Mover, Mrs Yinka Ogunde is also the CEO of Edumark Consult,a leading consultancy firm in the Nigerian space. With her Wealth of Knowledge and Experience in the education sector for over a decade, Yinka Ogunde discerned that for a potent and permanent Solution to the bleeding state of the Education sector In Nigeria, All Stakeholders both Within and outside the Sector must be actively involved. The online group provides parents, school owners, teachers, consultants, and other key stakeholders in the Education community with a platform to discuss challenges faced by the Education sector. The Education sector is bleeding and needs Mediation; We realized that the Government alone cannot tackle the myriad of challenges within the sector. We are passionate Nigerians that believe that we must all work together to solve the problems facing the Education Sector. We have driven several initiatives which we believe has made tremendous impact in the lives of students and teachers in poor communities.

Our Growth

In just four years, CPE has evolved into a formally recognized non-governmental organization with nearly 100,000 members spanning across 50 countries. Throughout this time, CPE has successfully organized numerous free training programs—both online and in-person—focused on critical topics for parents and educators. The organization has partnered with individuals and corporations to provide valuable resources for teachers, financially struggling parents, students with special needs, orphanages, and private schools in low-income communities.

The online platform has grown into a dynamic learning hub, offering schools, educators, and parents timely, multi-dimensional insights into pressing educational issues.

Meet Our Leadership Team

Yinka Ogunde (Founder)

Mrs. Yinka Ogunde is the founder of the Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative (CPE), the CEO of Edumark Consult, and convener of Africa’s biggest education show, The Total School Support Seminar and Exhibition (TOSSE).

Over the years, she has become an authority as the undisputed chief connector for educationists and industry regulators. With the recruitment of like-minded people passionate about providing quality education for the Nigerian child, CPE has executed numerous projects that have touched several lives.

Kemi Koleowo (National Coordinator)

Mrs. Kemi Koleowo is the National Coordinator of the Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative (CPE). She oversees all state chapters of the NGO, ensuring alignment with the organization’s vision and fostering impactful collaborations nationwide.

A dedicated advocate for educational development, she passionately represents CPE as an ambassador engaging with stakeholders to promote initiatives that improve learning environments, empower educators, and improve student outcomes.
